Resolution to Facilitate CGEU Annual Conference

Organizing Committee Transitions

WHEREAS there needs to be a more clearly established system for organizing CGEU Annual Conferences that will facilitate the transition between organizing committees each year,

 

WHEREAS CGEU has established new financial practices around Travel Assistance Funds that require transparency and oversight,

 

BE IT RESOLVED THAT at the end of each Annual Conference, attendees should be solicited for feedback through an anonymous survey sent out via email. The survey results shall be made available to the next organizing committee.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the outgoing organizing committee will write a multi-page report back on the experience of organizing CGEU Conference on what functioned well and what can be improved. All of these reports should be compiled online, be made accessible and available to the next organizing committee. This report shall also include the full finalized budget. The report shall be written within one month of the conclusion of the Annual Conference.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the outgoing committee shall schedule a conference call with the incoming CGEU Organizing Committee within one month after the report is sent.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT in case there is any surplus fund at the end of the conference, the Outgoing and Incoming Committees shall arrange in the above conference call to transfer the surplus as quickly as possible.
